Role & Responsibilities:

The functions included in this job are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Setting up and troubleshooting existing automated Well head Monitoring system
  • Procuring new equipment, defining specifications, unit testing, Installation and implementation.
  • Coding applications that enable physical devices or embed systems.
  • Debugging any problems that arise.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate automated solutions seamlessly.
  • Document processes and system configurations, enabling easier future modifications.

Required Technical / Functional Competency:

Academic Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

Knowledge:

  • Working Knowledge of Modbus Protocol

Technical Skills:

  • Work diligently under pressure, with high attention to detail, and timeliness.
  • Superior ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight schedule and deadlines.
  • Ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time / project management and organization skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, independently research, identify and solve technical problems.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic locations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be physically capable (i.e. climb ladders, bend, crawl, walk or stand for prolonged periods of time), and available to work in the Desert.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using a range of testing devices.

Specific Practical experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience as technical Oil & Gas engineer, or control engineer in Oil & Gas segment.

Other:

Preferred

  • Technical experience in the field of Artificial lift.
  • Technical background in automation and computers.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas utilities and energy companies.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis.
