Department: Human resources (HR)

Purpose of the Role:

To develop and maintain the HR department (including policies and procedures) which shall ensure a healthy and competitive work environment within the frame of equity and motivation concept.

Role & Responsibilities:

The functions included in this job are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, discipline or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures and policies across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Maintain and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain salary structure and benefits program
  • Maintain and updating of Job functions and specification (Job description, Competency analysis, competency mapping)
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the HR system in the company
  • Effective manpower planning
  • Contract preparation for new employees

Required Technical / Functional Competency:

Academic Background:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Admin or a relative HR Certification.

Knowledge:

  • Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases

Technical Skills:

  • Sufficient knowledge of computers and office applications; especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint as well as other defined systems

Specific Practical Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience.

Other:

Preferred

  • Fluent in Arabic and Excellent command of English (writing / speaking/ reading)
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of Labour law and HR best practices

Required Behavioural Competency:

  • Effective in problem solving as well as the ability to collect raw data and analyse them into reports.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • People oriented, and results driven
